Booking
Should I use a booking portal or book directly through the hotel website?
For an equal or better price, it is always best to book directly via the hotel website. In this way you can actively support us as an individual hotel and the hospitality industry in general and avoid high fees of 15% or more to the booking portals.
Example: If the hotel room costs 100€, a booking portal (hrs, Expedia, booking, check24….) will charge around 15% plus VAT = 17.85€ from the hotel to the booking portal, leaving the hotel with only 82.15€ with one click from you. This is the reason why you always get the best price directly on the hotel website.
How many rooms can I book online at the same time?
You can book up to 6 rooms at once online on our website. If your enquiry is more than this maximum, please contact the reservations team using our contact form, by email at info@hotel-block.de or by telephone on +49 841 95345-0
Is my booking via www.hotel-block.de secure?
Yes, your booking is secure - especially your credit card details and other personal data. We ensure this via a secure https server, all booking information is SSL-encrypted and takes place in a secure environment.
Which category should I book?
The BLOCK Hotel & Living has seven different categories. From the Standard category to the Owner Suite, we have something for every taste! You can find inspiration on our homepage or on Instagram.
Every guest has his own budget. Whether it's set by the company or a personal understatement. With us you have the choice: STANDARD, COMFORT, DELUXE or SUITEN - no matter which category you choose, our individual and blocktastic-service always remains unaffected!
Which rate is best for me?
We offer various rates on our homepage. The flexible STANDARD rate, which can be cancelled free of charge up to three days before your planned stay. Or the cheaper FIX rate, which is non-refundable.

Changes / Cancellations
How can I change or cancel my booking?
If you have booked by email or telephone, it is best to contact us directly! Either via the contact form on the homepage or by email to info@hotel-block.de. Please understand that we only accept changes or cancellations in written form.
If you have booked through our website www.hotel-block.de, please click on the "Cancel" button directly in your booking confirmation. You will immediately receive a cancellation confirmation by email.
If you have booked via a third-party provider, such as HRS, Expedia or booking.com, please contact the contact person from your booking confirmation directly.
Cancellation policy: What are the cancellation conditions?
FOR FLEXIBLE STANDARD RATES, categories Standard to Comfort: 3 days before arrival free of charge, 2 days before arrival 50%, 1 day before arrival 100%. In the event of early departure or no-show, 100% of the total amount is due.
FOR FLEXIBLE STANDARD RATES, categories Deluxe to Suite: 15 days before arrival free of charge, 14 days before arrival 100%. In the event of early departure or no-show, 100% of the total amount is due.
FOR FIXED RATES: The booking of the cheaper savings rate is guaranteed for you and payable immediately upon booking. Please note that this rate is NON-CANCELLABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.
For group bookings of 6 rooms or more, different cancellation conditions apply.
What should I do if I cannot start the journey?
Please contact the hotel immediately. Please note our cancellation conditions. In general, we always recommend travel cancellation insurance.

Check-in/-out, Reception
CHECK-IN: When is the first time I can check into my room?
The rooms are ready for occupancy from 3 pm. If you would like to move into your room earlier, please let our reservations team know in good time. We will be happy to check whether we can book you an EARLY CHECK-IN for 40.00 EUR per room. Depending on availability.
CHECK-IN: Until which time may I arrive?
Reception is staffed until 10.30 pm, check-in is possible until this time.
What can I do if I want to arrive after opening hours?
Please contact us if you are arriving outside these times. Either we will welcome you personally or we will give you a code with which you will receive your room card via a key safe outside.
CHECK-OUT: By what time do I have to leave my room?
Your room is available to you until 11 am on the day of departure.
Is it possible to check out later?
On request and subject to availability, we can offer you the following options:
- Late check-out until 2 pm (€30 per room)
- "Lazy Sunday" late check-out until 5 pm (70€ depending on availability for M, M-BAL & M-Fit)“
- Lazy Sunday" late check-out until 5 pm (170€ after vacancy for Deluxe)
Can I still use the SPA area after my departure?
It is still possible to use the SPA area after departure on request.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel before check-in or after check-out?
If you are checking in or out and would like to leave your luggage, you can do so at reception. We will be happy to help you with your luggage and take it to/from your room.

Hotel & rooms
Where is the location of the hotel in Ingolstadt?
Our owner-managed private hotel is centrally located between the most important hotspots: Downtown Ingolstadt (3km), Audi (3.5km) and Ingolstadt Village (3km) - right in the centre and yet surrounded by greenery for jogging and with its own hotel garden. The Westpark shopping centre, the Saturn Arena (concerts & ice hockey), the AUDI Sportpark (football), the countryside of the Altmühltal nature park and the Dinopark are just a short drive away. The hotel is also easily accessible from the A9 motorway. We are happy to advise you with tips and insider knowledge.
Are pets welcome?
Your four-legged friends are also welcome guests at our hotel. We assume that they are house-trained and safe for our guests and staff. Please inform reception if you leave your pet alone in the room. The cost per pet per day is €15.00 (excluding food). Guide dogs: free of charge. We kindly ask you not to let your pet sleep in the bed, on the armchair or on the chairs in the rooms. We ask for your understanding. In case of disregard and dirt on the upholstery and/or beds by your pets, we will have to charge you a special cleaning fee.
Is there a laundry service?
Yes, we are happy to take your laundry for cleaning.Clothes handed in at reception from Monday to Friday by 7 a.m. will be returned to you after approx. 2-3 working days. The hotel only acts as an intermediary. You will find the laundry set in your wardrobe. Additional laundry bags are available at reception. You can find out the prices at reception.
Are baby cots available?
Yes, you will receive a baby cot free of charge from the hotel. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require one.
Is there a discount for children?
Yes, children under 7 years stay free of charge in their parents' double bed and are invited to breakfast. Older children from 7-12 years stay in their parents' double bed and only pay EUR 12.00 per night.
Is there a lift?
Yes, both parts of the building, the north and south wings, are equipped with lifts.
Is there public transport near the hotel?
The nearest bus stop is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Line 40 takes you to the historic city centre. From there you have bus connections to all regions of Ingolstadt.The nearest railway station is Nordbahnhof, although not all trains stop there. The nearest major station is Ingolstadt main station.
Are bicycles available at the hotel?
Yes, we offer city bikes that you can hire at our reception (subject to availability).With the hotel's own bike hire service, there are many options open to you: Cycle comfortably to the neighbouring restaurants, beer gardens and ice cream parlours in the evening or spend a day discovering the historic old town and the impressive fortress buildings? We are happy to help with tips for excursions. Bikes are available at reception.
Is there air conditioning?
The entire public area and all rooms are air-conditioned.
How much does it cost to use the internet?
Our guests can use the internet free of charge. You can register several devices at the same time.
How are the rooms furnished?
All rooms are equipped with comfortable box-spring beds, air conditioning, TV, free WiFi, telephone, safe, ironing station, coffee machine and kettle, bathroom with shower/WC and hairdryer as well as a desk.
Are the rooms disabled-friendly?
We have two disabled-friendly rooms. A carer's room right next door with a connecting door can also be booked.
Do the rooms have allergy-friendly bed linen?
All our rooms are equipped with allergy-friendly bed linen. However, if you suffer from an allergy, please let us know before you arrive.
Are there any smoking rooms?
No. We are a non-smoking hotel. However, some rooms have a balcony where smoking is permitted with the balcony door closed.
Do the rooms have a minibar?
All rooms are equipped with minibars. On arrival you will receive a bottle of water 0.75 litres free of charge. You can order additional drinks at our hotel bar, either via QR code as room service for EUR 4.00 per order or directly at the bar to enjoy on site.
Are there multi-bed/family rooms?
We have three family suites for four people and two large family suites with a maximum occupancy of six people. The family suites are two rooms with a connecting door. Each room has its own bathroom.
When is the hotel bar open?
The bar, on the ground floor next to the "Living Lobby - our guest living room" with a view of the Moai Garden, is open daily from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. From 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm we serve snack platters, pizzas and tarte flambée from our snack menu.
How long is the garden open?
Our Hotel MOAI garden is open until 10.00 pm. Out of consideration for our guests and neighbours, we ask you to keep to the quiet hours.
Is there a restaurant?
The BLOCK Hotel & Living is a "garni" hotel, without a restaurant. In the evening from 5.00 pm we offer a snack menu at the hotel bar. We serve food and drinks at the bar, in the garden, in the lobby or in room service (until 9 pm / EUR 4.00 per order). Of course we are happy to help you with a restaurant recommendation and table reservation.
When is the SPA area open?
In the cold winter months, the sauna is open daily from 5pm to 10pm. In the summer season from March to October only on request. You are welcome to book other times with us at any time and we will open the sauna for you individually according to availability ;o)
Is there a swimming pool?
We do not have a swimming pool. Our Deluxe rooms and suites are equipped with a whirlpool bath.
What is offered in the SPA area?
The SPA area has a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna and an infrared cabin. There is also a massage and relaxation room.
Can I also book massages?
You are welcome to make an appointment for a massage directly with our external therapist. Please feel free to reach out to us for the contact details.
Can external guests also use the spa area?
Yes, you are welcome to use our Day Spa offer. Starting with breakfast from 8 to 10 am. Afterwards the SPA area is open for you. You can use this and the fitness room until 3 pm. At the end of your stay you will receive a glass of sparkling wine at the bar. During your stay you will receive a SPA bag with a sauna towel, bathrobe, cosy blanket, flip-flops and a bottle of water.
How long is the gym open?
The gym is open 24/7. Hotel guests always have access with their room card.

Breakfast
How much does breakfast cost?
For the "incl. breakfast" rate, the breakfast portion is EUR 19.00. This early bird special is only valid if booked in advance in combination with the room. You are also welcome to book breakfast on site. Here the price per person is 24.00 EUR.
Can external guests also use the breakfast?
Yes, as "external guests" you are also very welcome! Breakfast or late breakfast at the weekend, our delicious buffet in the morning provides the right basis for a perfect start to the day.
For late risers and "late breakfasters" on Sunday until 11am.What are the breakfast times?
Monday-Friday from 6:15-10:00 a.m.
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 6:30-11:00 a.m.Are gluten-free products available?
Yes, we also offer gluten-free products such as pastries and muesli. Please speak to our breakfast team.
Is the breakfast vegan?
Our breakfast buffet also includes a variety of vegan products, such as milk alternatives, hummus, couscous and quinoa salads and much more.

Parking
How much does parking cost?
There are a few hotel-owned and public free car parks in front of the hotel. However, the hotel has bookable VIP parking spaces (directly in front of the entrance) and its own underground car park.

Is the car park secure?
The car park in front of the hotel is under video surveillance.
Can I reserve a parking space?
Yes, the underground car park spaces and the VIP parking spaces can be reserved.
Can I simply drive into the underground car park?
To get into the underground car park, you first need your room card. You will receive this at reception when you check in.
Will my car fit in the underground car park?
The entry height into the underground car park is suitable for the following cars: max. 2.10 m. Therefore also suitable for SUVs.
Are there e-charging stations at the hotel?
Yes, the hotel has two charging points in the underground car park, a type 2 plug and a high-voltage plug. CE32 and CE16

Payment
When do I pay for my stay?
With us, you pay for your stay on arrival/check-in. Please have your credit card for a deposit and your photo ID ready for check-in. We reserve the right to request a deposit for corporate and group bookings, as well as large events.
Will my credit card be automatically charged at the time of booking?
No, the room rate will be reserved on the credit card provided and only serves as a guarantee for your booking. The overnight stay is only paid for on arrival at the hotel. For some offers (e.g. Fix Rate), a deposit of 100% is due at the time of booking. However, these offers are labelled.
Can I book without a credit card?
It is not possible to book without a valid credit card. The following 4 details are always required: Card holder, card number, expiry date and CVV number.
Which means of payment are accepted?
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, China Union Pay, Diners Club. You can also pay with Maestro, VPay, EC card or of course in cash (Euro).
